Photo credit @charlihoward; read on to find out why she’s my Girlcrush… Another month, another Mashup!!!! How is everyone’s June going?! After what seemed like an absurdly long-winded May Mashup, I’m going to try to curb my enthusiasm a little here… Let’s see how that goes! 😉
As I’ve gotten older and my mom’s started liking dining out more (she used to not be that big of a foodie but I think I’ve rubbed off on her 😉 ) we’ve started enjoying more and more girls’ nights out together! My mother always prioritized being a mom over being a “bestie” when I was younger, and I’m eternally grateful for that. However, now that I’m an adult and all that jazz, it’s fun to have her as a mom AND a bestie!
Good morning and happy Memorial Day weekend! This isn’t a full-on post, but I wanted to let everyone know what we were up to!
Okay so first and foremost, how is it already mid/late-ish May? No seriously. I’m not even trying to do the casual “time flies” thing… I demand answers! How is it my much-younger sister’s TWENTIETH BIRTHDAY TODAY?? (Happy birthday Phia!!! I love you!)
Good morning everyone! I hope your morning has been cheerful and caffeinated so far! 🙂 Remember the Mother’s Day brunch I mentioned in my Beach Rompin’ post? Here it is, it all its delicious glory!
Stephen turned 27 exactly a month ago today! To celebrate his birthday, we spent a wonderful and relaxing weekend in Raleigh, NC. We’re at an interesting point in our lives, because we don’t know where we want to move next. We are currently in a temporary place about 45 minutes south of Asheville, but we want to relocate to a bigger urban area within the next year. So the trip to Raleigh really had a dual purpose!
To say that August 29, 2015 was the best day of my life is definitely an understatement! To be totally honest, I have trouble writing about our wedding. I simply don’t have enough faith in my word-craftsmanship. Trying to depict that beautiful day through my writing would be like attempting to recreate the statue of David with a chainsaw, or the Mona Lisa with a twelve-pack of Crayolas.
Greetings from the Sunshine State! Stephen and I drove down on Thursday and are having a wonderful time! Adam and Andrea’s wedding was Saturday; it was stunning and a ton of fun! I met some of the coolest people, and they had hands-down the best wedding cake I’ve tasted. It was a tower of little gourmet eclair puffs covered in rich crystallized caramel and flowers.
Happy (way belated!) Easter from the Trevathans!!! We had the most amazing Easter Sunday– our first as a married couple! I’m still learning my way around WordPress and Lightroom, and it’s definitely a process. A fun and satisfying process though! So that’s why these beginning posts are trickling in sporadically instead of being more “real time.”
