I finally shot my favorite romper ($18 plus an extra 40% off with the code ALL40)!!!
I’m not sure why it took me so long; remember back when I bought it back in mid-May?
I have to say that the timing is good though, because it’s only $18, marked down from $37! Not to mention that right now you can get another 40% off with the code ALL40! Everything on the site is 40% off right now.
So yes, you can get this super cute mauve, blush, and lilac pompom romper for about as much as a Jimmy John’s sub with a cookie and tax. 😉 Not too shabby if you ask me!
Speaking of food, I have to brag that the two hostesses (who, like most hostesses at nicer restaurants, were about 20 years old, trendy and pretty) gushed over this cute little summery number and demanded to know where I got it. That felt really good, since we’d literally just wrapped our outfit shoot minutes before entering the restaurant! (YASSSS still cool with the youngsters… Wait, when did 20-year-olds become “youngsters”?!)
I’m not gonna lie though, I was already pretty excited about what I saw on the Nikon before the hostesses noticed my outfit. This romper is seriously my fave right now! Also, I feel like the sleeves photographed especially nicely once I realized I needed to fling my arms around a little bit.
Just a little tip for any of you rocking (and instagramming!) the bell-sleeve trend this summer– they need some movement! 😉
I adore this shot Stephen took outside the Basilica of St. Lawrence! I think it was unintentional that the auto-focus grabbed the background instead of the foreground, but it adds such a cool artistic element to the photo. I also love that my sports fanatic, buff, scruffy, beer-guzzling, red-meat-grilling, still-doesn’t-know-the-difference-between-the-eyeliner-and-mascara, *insert every masculine cliche ever* hubs loves me enough to squat in the dirt shooting fluffy pink roses on a Saturday! 😉
These nude Aldo wedges are getting to be pretty old, as I originally bought them for college sorority rush. However, I feel that really underlines how awesome those versatile closet staples can be. I’ve worn them countless times and they’re still going strong! You the real MVP, nude wedges! 😉
They’re obviously no longer online, but I linked a handful of amazing pairs for under $50 in the “Shop the Post” widget at the bottom.
I also want to say sorry that last night on Facebook I announced that the 40% sale was only lasting until midnight. That’s what the site said, so I genuinely thought sale was going to flee like Cinderella at 12:01 a.m. Then this morning they’d re-started the countdown to end TONIGHT at midnight and I realized it was totally a marketing trick to create a false sense of urgency. **Eyeroll**
So I fell for their little plot, but hey, at least that gives me more time to decide if I’m going to actually buy the items in my cart:
Have a wonderful evening!! And for those of you who watch, I hope you enjoy The Bachelorette! <3
Mauve Pompom Romper (only $18 plus take 40% off with the code ALL40)
Shoes: Aldo, old. Super cute nude wedges (all under $50!) linked below; these and these are probably the most similar but I definitely have a soft spot for the slightly more modern pair with the delicate mesh.

I almost bought this crazy butterfly print romper during the same order I got the one I’m wearing in this post. It’s somewhat reminiscent of (but more pastel colored) 90s Lisa Frank– in the best way! My brother-in-law actually got me an awesome neon-and-white Lisa Frank brand hat with a unicorn horn on it this past Christmas, and I’ve totally worn out in public. Perhaps if I’m that brave, I could also rock the butterfly print…? Thoughts?
Or maybe keep things a bit more serene with this beautiful chambray and crochet lace number? This creamy chiffon kimono playsuit is also strangely delightful… Or perhaps this green and blue palm print piece? I feel like it looks more luxe than the $35 (plus 40% off!) price tag because of the conservative neckline and 3/4 sleeves… Plus, palm print is huge this summer and I don’t have any yet!
